Since 1986 the Woodstock Wood Show has been presenting the best in wood-related interests, whether it be tools, shop supplies, carving, furniture, musical instruments, or the actual wood itself. It has appealed to the professional woodworker, as well as the amateur and the home hobbyist. The 2013 Woodstock Wood Show is going to continue that tradition.
This year’s show will feature numerous retailers who will be able to provide the tools and supplies everyone needs. There will also be many new seminars and workshops, including special ones just for women and others for children. Many of the exhibitors will be working on projects within their booth and will be available to answer questions and discuss ideas with the public.
The Upper Canada Woodworking Competition will be something special this year. The many carving and turning clubs and groups, as well as numerous individuals, have been invited to participate by entering their projects in the competition. Several companies have come forward with either cash or product prizes totalling $2500 for carving, wood turning, birdhouses and furniture entries.
